Can you tell us what you do now?

My name is Ebony Menso, I’m 40 years young, and I run my own practice specializing in psychotherapy, orthomolecular therapy, and hypnotherapy. Through my work, I have the privilege of helping people improve their physical, mental, emotional, and energetic health.
My vision is that all facets of health are interconnected, and understanding these connections is essential for addressing issues at their core.

How did you get to where you are now? What education, life lessons, or mistakes have led you to this point?

It’s been a long learning journey, encompassing both formal education and life experience.
I studied psychology, orthomolecular therapy, and hypnotherapy, later specializing in areas such as gut health and the brain. Growing up in a family where I experienced many traumatic events sparked my curiosity early on about how the body and mind work. That drive to understand has deeply influenced the path I’ve taken.

Did you find it scary to start your own business? How did you make the decision?

I was absolutely terrified to start my own business. But I also knew I owed it to myself if I wanted to live a happy and fulfilling life. I was deeply unhappy in my previous job and no longer fit into the healthcare system as it exists in the GGZ (Dutch mental health services).

Eventually, I hit a breaking point—I was burned out. That was the moment I decided to take the leap and start my own practice.

What type of clients can come to you? Why specifically these?

Thanks to my extensive training, I can help clients with a wide range of issues, such as burnout, fatigue, hormonal imbalances, gut problems, anxiety, depression, trauma, or even building self-confidence and managing time at work.

What advice would you give to other coaches and therapists who want to start their own practice?

My advice is to deeply reflect on what core principles bring you the most joy when helping others.
For me, it’s offering “insight” and “connection.” I guide people in understanding their own bodies and minds better so they can reconnect with themselves and others. From there, you can shape your business around these principles and the services that align with them.

How did you find Stories?
I found Stories online while searching for a practice space to rent.

Why did you choose Stories?
I instantly fell in love with the overall vibe! My previous workspace was a small, dreary room that drained my energy. Stories, on the other hand, is inspiring, elegant, soft, and powerful all at once. I feel deeply connected to the people here and completely at home in this environment.
